The Yukon’s St. Elias Mountains are dominated by some of the continent’s highest peaks and the biggest non-polar icefield on the planet. Scientists are finding growing evidence that rapid warming has kicked the age-old processes of mountain geomorphology into fast-forward. The mountains are crumbling.
